Imagine telling your AI assistant: "Set up a morning routine with three habits: meditate, journal and a 20 minute walk." And it just happens. The habits are created, linked to a goal and ready to check off tomorrow. No menus, no forms. Just a conversation.
This works today with Framezone and any AI assistant that supports MCP, including Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and VS Code.
What is MCP?
MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is an open standard that lets AI assistants connect to other apps safely. Think of it as a common language between your assistant and your tools.
Instead of copying data between apps, your assistant can read your Framezone data, create new entries and keep things up to date, all from a normal chat.
Because it is an open standard, you are not tied to one AI company. Use the assistant you already like, and switch whenever you want.
What can you actually do?
The connector covers every area of Framezone. A few real examples.
Turn a brain dump into a system
"I need to renew my passport, look at holiday options, update my budget and start reading again." Your assistant creates the tasks with sensible priorities, sets up a reading habit and files everything in the right place.
A two minute morning check-in
"What's on my plate today?" It pulls your Top 3, your deadlines and your habit streaks into one answer. Then: "Log my meditation for today." Done.
A weekly review that writes itself
"Give me my weekly summary." Completed tasks, habit consistency, journal entries, spending and goal progress in one overview, without clicking through five screens.
Goal planning with real numbers
"I want to read 24 books this year and I'm at 8." It creates the goal, works out the pace you need and can suggest a daily reading habit to keep you on track.
Money without the data entry
"What did I spend on subscriptions this month?" or "Add 45 euros at the supermarket under groceries." It handles the typing so you can focus on the decisions.
Journaling by talking
Some days you don't want to open an app and write. Just say: "Good day. Energy high, mood 4 out of 5. Great workout and I finished the proposal." Your assistant writes the journal entry with mood and energy filled in.
How it works
Framezone's MCP server offers 62 tools across tasks, projects, habits, goals, focus, journal, notes, books, fitness, finance, portfolio, contacts and more. With them, your assistant can:
- Read your tasks, habits, goals, books, finances and more
- Create tasks, habits, journal entries, workouts and transactions
- Update things, like completing a task or logging a habit
- Search across everything in your account
- Summarise your week
Sign-in uses OAuth. You log in on Framezone itself and approve what the assistant may do: read, write or delete. It never sees your password, and you can disconnect whenever you like.
Setting it up in a few minutes
The server address is the same for every assistant: https://framezone.app/mcp
- Create a free Framezone account and add a few things, so there is something to ask about.
- Add Framezone to your assistant as a remote MCP server, often called a connector.
- Sign in to Framezone in the window that opens and approve the permissions.
- Start asking.
Where you add it depends on the assistant:
- Claude: Settings, then Connectors, then add a custom connector.
- ChatGPT: turn on developer mode (a beta feature), then add a connector.
- Cursor: add the server to your mcp.json file.
- VS Code: add an HTTP server to .vscode/mcp.json.
- Claude Code: run the command below in your terminal.
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user framezone https://framezone.app/mcpStep-by-step instructions for each assistant are on the Connect your AI page.
AI as a co-pilot, not a replacement
Framezone is the single place your life lives. The assistant is a conversational layer on top. You still own every decision, every goal and every habit. AI just removes the friction between thinking and doing.
The best productivity system is the one you actually use. When using it means talking normally, the barrier to showing up gets very small.
What's next
MCP is still young, and Framezone's connector will grow with it. Things I am exploring:
- Suggestions based on your own patterns
- Insights across areas, like spending next to your goals
- Voice-first use on your phone
